Industrial Support & Maintenance

Engineering support that continues after commissioning.

GPLG supports automation systems throughout their operational lifecycle with troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, optimisation, software changes, modernisation and technical assistance designed to reduce downtime and protect production performance.

LIFECYCLE SUPPORT

Reliable production requires engineering after handover

Automation does not stop changing once the machine enters production.

Products change, components age, software evolves and production targets increase. Our support approach combines diagnosis, maintenance and engineering so that faults are resolved with an understanding of the complete system rather than treating each symptom in isolation.

SUPPORT CAPABILITIES

Support across the complete automation system

01

System Optimisation

Cycle-time analysis, sequence tuning, robotic paths, motion parameters, conveyors, sensors and inspection logic.

02

Software & Control Updates

PLC, HMI, SCADA and industrial software changes, migrations, functional improvements and controlled deployment.

03

Preventive Maintenance

Planned inspections, condition checks, calibration and maintenance activities focused on reducing unplanned failures.

04

Remote Technical Assistance

Fault review, diagnostics, parameter checks and guided troubleshooting where secure remote access is available and authorised.

05

On-Site Field Service

Planned interventions, breakdown support, recommissioning, retrofits and technical assistance at the production site.

06

Training & Knowledge Transfer

Operator and maintenance guidance, troubleshooting support and documentation updates for the installed system.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Diagnose the system, not only the alarm

Effective troubleshooting connects PLC logic, drives, sensors, communications, mechanical behaviour and production history to identify the underlying cause.

FAULT RESPONSE WORKFLOW

From reported problem to controlled return to production

01 · REPORT

Fault Information

Collect alarms, machine state, recent changes and the operational conditions surrounding the problem.

02 · DIAGNOSE

Technical Analysis

Review PLC, HMI, drives, networks, sensors and relevant process information to isolate likely causes.

03 · STABILISE

Production Recovery

Where appropriate, establish a safe controlled path to restore operation while protecting equipment and product.

04 · CORRECT

Root-Cause Action

Implement the approved repair, software correction, parameter change or component replacement.

05 · VERIFY

Functional Testing

Confirm sequences, alarms, interlocks and production behaviour before the intervention is considered complete.

06 · IMPROVE

Prevention

Identify monitoring, maintenance or engineering changes that can reduce the likelihood of recurrence.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

Reduce avoidable downtime before the failure occurs

Planned inspection and condition information help maintenance teams focus attention on components and behaviours that can affect production reliability.

MAINTENANCE PRIORITIES

Protect performance throughout the system lifecycle

Controls & Electrical

PLC hardware, I/O, control panels, power supplies, drives, communications and electrical condition.

Sensors & Vision

Alignment, contamination, calibration, image quality and device behaviour that can create intermittent production faults.

Robotics & Motion

Robot paths, motion performance, positioning, tooling interfaces and cycle behaviour.

Software Integrity

Controlled backups, source versions, configuration records and rollback readiness before significant changes.

Performance Trends

Use alarms, cycle times, counters and historical data to identify degradation that may not yet have stopped production.

Obsolescence Planning

Identify ageing or end-of-life automation components early enough to plan migration instead of reacting after failure.

REMOTE SUPPORT

Fast technical access when the infrastructure allows it

Secure remote access can accelerate fault diagnosis by allowing engineers to review PLC logic, HMI states, alarms, logs and relevant parameters without waiting for an initial site visit.

Remote access should be controlled by the customer's authorised infrastructure and security policy, with appropriate authentication, permissions and logging. Where a problem cannot be resolved remotely, the diagnostic work can still improve preparation for an on-site intervention.

LIFECYCLE ENGINEERING

Maintain, improve and modernise instead of waiting for obsolescence

Support should preserve today's production while creating a controlled path for tomorrow's upgrades.

SERVICE PROCESS

A structured approach to ongoing technical support

01

System Review

Understand installed equipment, software, production priorities and known reliability concerns.

02

Criticality Assessment

Identify equipment, components and failure modes with the greatest effect on production.

03

Support Strategy

Define the appropriate combination of remote assistance, preventive work, spares and engineering support.

04

Planned Intervention

Coordinate maintenance and modifications around production constraints and approved shutdown windows.

05

Verification

Test affected functions and confirm the system is ready to return to normal production.

06

Lifecycle Review

Use findings, recurring faults and technology status to prioritise future maintenance and modernisation.

SPARES & OBSOLESCENCE

Critical components should be planned before they become urgent

We can help identify automation components whose failure would create significant downtime and review the lifecycle status of PLCs, HMIs, drives, I/O and other critical devices.

The objective is to establish sensible spare-part priorities and migration plans based on operational criticality rather than replacing equipment unnecessarily.

CONNECTED ENGINEERING

Support backed by automation engineering capability
